Herbert Frank Kilby born Leicester 1886 is living with the Bryan family in 1891-he is 3yrs old as is shown as a relative.

Can anyone please find out who the Bryans are in relation to Herbert?

So, maybe the family connection that I am looking for is between Jane Hill & Herbert Kilby?? did one of the 'Hills' marry into the 'Kilby family' - can anyone look for a marriage for me please - 1840-1890?? Leics

I think Jane (?) is Walter Bryans 2nd wife.

His 1st wife, Rebecca died in 1884 - Barrow upon Soar.

Walton...

This could be their marriage..
Walter Bryan...
Rebecca Cheney..

Still trying to find out what connection the Bryans are to Herbert Kilby?????

Can anyone help...any ideas please?

Herberts mothers name was Elizabeth Ann Orton - his father was John Kilby.

The Ortons are from: Seagrave, Leics. and so far, I cant see any connection with the Bryans.

This is the only birth that fits - it would give you mother's maiden name:

You would need to find the Bryans in earlier census returns then try and work out when they married. It may be that your lad is related to Jane as opoosed to Walter.

You will also need to know Herbert's mother's maiden name - which you will need at some stage anyway - and with a bit of luck it will all make sense.
