Hi,
My Grandmother's Aunt was called Rhoda Catherine Martin born in Hove Sussex England 1891 and died in Australia 1938. She married a James Illsley of Australia in England in 1918 and then emigrated to Australia. Their children aren't recorded as being born in England so are Australian. Their names are:
James Illsley
Vincent Illsley
George Illsley
Lancelot Illsley (no marriage connection to Eileen Muir)
Josephine Illsley.
They were all known to be living in Sydney in the 1950's. Does this family sound familiar to you? If so get in touch as I would like to know more.

Hi Krystyna I'm not linked in any way -just trying to help. The RYERSON INDEX (on-line) shows NSW newpaper death notices to present day. (They do look-ups -just quote SMH (Sydney Morning Herald) dates: Rhoda Catherin Illsley d 22/6/1938 (SMH 23/6/38)......... James Illsley 22/2/2001 age 77 (SMH 24//2001) .......... 'Lancelot Thomas' Illsley d 23/10/197? age 57yrs (NSW BMD shows a Lancelot Thomas Illsley married Eileen Maud Muir 1941..........and a 'George Patrick' Illsley married Marjorie Dalton 1954. ............. The NSW State Library has an 'Ask a Librarian' service (query form on-line) -they will check records inc electoral rolls (poss newspaper death notices)...........Lastly .. 'White Pages' (on-line) have:..... J Illsley 10 Wolseley Rd Point Piper NSW 2027 (tel 02-9363- 5376) - Valerie (WA)
