Kay,

My grandmother was a Richardson from the Cockermouth area. I remember her talking about the Ostle family, especially Fred Ostle. So far I have not traced any family connection although they all stayed in the Ullock/Dean/Cockerrmouth area. Going to Penrith on Monday 19th November and hope to dig a bit deeper in the short time that I will have in the area. My g.g. father, William Richardson, has been somewhat difficult to trace. I believe he was killed in a railway accident towards the end of the 19th century. My very faint memory says that the Ostles are tenuous relations.
