My great grandfather James Staniforth married Mary Alice Parkin in 1895 in Sheffield and they had a son James in 1896. Mary registered James at the beginning of 1897 but when the 1901 sensus came out Mary was nowhere to be found and James had moved in with his in-laws with his son james now aged 4. BUT.... his in-laws were the PLANTS. Mary was about 24yrs old and I have gone forward 5 yrs to see if she had died.but nothing was found. The 1901 sensus said that James was married. Can anyone help me with this family puzzle please? They were my Great grandparents. my father said as a child he could never fathom who was who!!!!!! sadly now my father is dead so I cannot ask him.
