Member Since: March 2003 Posts: 0 Send Message	trying to find the link between my rutherford line leaving west coast of scotland and moving to donegal/londonderry area (ireland, n. ireland). i know my family originally came from scotland, but can't find that all important link to make the jump back over the irish sea to prove it! anyone help. looking around about 1800's (margaret tease and her husband james rutherford)

	Hi, this is a very tenuous link but a James Rutherford was a witness at my ggf wedding in Newcastle?

Member Since: July 2007 Posts: 3 Send Message	Hi Jane, I had a reletive ancestor living in Dundrum which is not that far from Newcastle. Plus there are Rutherfords living around Rostrevor.. Now this is in N.Ireland.. Just thinking .. Is your Newcastle in England? Stephen.

	Yes it is. There are a coupl of Rutherfords in my tree but not a James yet. Its a curisity thing as my dads middle name was Rutherford !!!
