Looking for links to the Snaith family of Witton le Wear, Durham. William Snaith had four sons - Thomas (bap 1676 Witton le Wear); Ralph (bap 1678 Witton le Wear); William (bap 1685 Witton le Wear); Richard (bap 1689 St Philip & St James, Witton le Wear). Thomas married Mary Wass at Coniscliffe in 1706. Ralph moved to Blackwell, Darlington and had at least two sons - Thomas & William. Richard married Margaret Atkinson at Gainford in 1705. Richard and Margaret had three children - William (bap 1710 St Edwin, Coniscliffe, Durham); Dorothy (bap 1706 Gainford, Durham); Elizabeth (bn abt 1717). William Snaith (bap 1710) married Elizabeth Frank at St Edwin, Coniscliffe in 1735. They had ten children - Richard (bap 1736 Coniscliffe, Durham); John (bap 1737 Coniscliffe, Durham); William (bap 1739 Coniscliffe, Durham); Ralph (bap 1739 Coniscliffe, Durham); Ruth (bap 1741 St Cuthberts, Darlington, Durham); Margaret (bap 1743 St Cuthberts, Darlington, Durham); Thomas (bap 1746 St Cuthberts, Darlington, Durham); Robert (bap 1748 St Cuthberts, Darlington, Durham); Elizabeth (bap 1750 St Cuthberts, Darlington, Durham); Frank (bap 1752 St Cuthberts, Darlington, Durham). |

My gr grandmother was Mary Jane Snaith born in 1860 in either Beechburn or Witton le Wear Durham.She married Thomas Sudron in Ryhope in 1880 and died in West Hartlepool in 1942. |
