I have always assumed Mary Jane was born in Bitchburn or Witton le Wear because that is where her Husband,Thomas Sudron was born. They were married in Ryhope in 1880 and according to her marriage cert. her father's name was Thomas. The rest of his signature is not clear, it could be the surname Jameson or it could read James Snaith. If it is Jameson,Iam puzzled unless this Thomas Jameson adopted her as under normal circumstances, if the father has passed away, it is declared on marriage cert, as father deceased. |
