Hi Ethel,
Many thanks for your help.
I was in error, Godfrey was definitely b W Ham 1909. I also found Martin D with Mother Greig but I'm sure that's not my Martin. Pat found Douglas M Summers b 1918, mother's maiden name Martin so that sounds very helpful. He also died WW2 but I couldn't trace him in the casualties list but will now go back again.
I've sent away for Thomas and Ethel's M Cert so I'm sure that info you gave me will fit in.
This certainly has helped.

Many thanks once again Pat. I think you helped me previously and when I received Ronald's D Cert I was able to match up his parents names with the marriages you had supplied. Have sent off for the M Cert and Ronald's B Cert.
I have a printout for Godfrey's Casualty List and War Memorial (you were quite correct b West Ham).
Will definitely check out Douglas M as that sounds really hopeful.

Hi Judith
The other letter has one error I think. Godfrey St John was born. 1909 Oct/Dec Qtr. reg in Kingston.
I can find a Martin D Summers 1912. April/June Qtr. reg in Kingston. vol 2a 881 but Mothers maiden name is Greig.
Thomas Leslie born 1884. Oct/Dec Qtr. reg in Fulham. vol 1a 301.
Married 1907. vol 3a 151. Copy of this certificate will give you his Father's name and occupations and witnesses who may be siblings.
If his Father is Charles, then the following may connect.

1891 census. 11 Dawlish Road. Tottenham.
Charles. 32. Born Bristol. Brick Lab.
Elizabeth. 30. Born Clapham Common
Elizabeth. 9. Born Kingsland.London
Florence. 7. Born Kingsland.London
THOMAS 5. Born Kingsland. London
Amey. 2. Born Tottenham
Mary Ann. 6weeks. Born Tottenham.

If you confirm that these are correct then a further search can be done for other ancestors.
Gope this helps. Ethel.

Thomas Leslie and Ethel Annie(nee Martin) married 1907.
Sons: Ronald Napolean Summers b 1913 Brentford, Godfrey St John Summers b 1909 Kingston,
and possibly another brother Martin Summers.
Ronald arrived NZ c1954
Godfrey killed WW2
When and where was Martin born and what happened to him.
Would appreciate any info on any of the family.
