he must have died i presume sometime between 1849 & 1864 when mary remarried i.m so sorry i.m not making it any eiser for you

In 1861 I have found 2 Mary May's...

Mary Ann May b. abt 1829 Leeds, Yorkshire, England; a Boarder Leeds, Yorkshire
with sons Joseph :-) & Richard :-(

Mary May b. abt 1824 Leeds, Yorkshire, England; Wife of Wm, Leeds, Yorkshire
with lots of children includeing Eliza :-) but no Joseph :-(

Don't know about you 2, but it's a quarter past midnight for me. I'm haveing to correct so many spelling mistakes because I'm to tired to think straight.

hi julie
yes i found that one too the mary 1824 but no joseph so went onto search for joseph in 1861 as he would have been 11/12 years old and thought he may have been visiting but i could.t find him so because i can.t place him with this wm & mary may i.m not sure its the right family all i can tell you is that time of marriage 1873 (joseph) he was living at back hanover street leeds and so was ann gray
do you want me to send you some tablets cos if this blags your head like it has been mine for months you will need them

i think i.m going to have to wait till eliza mays birth cert arrives and that way i can confirm she is the sister of joseph & the daughter of william may & mary may (nee barrett ) and that will determin if the family in 1861 with all the kids is them i don.t know what else to search ar doo

On the 1851 census that Dea found. Joseph ( Barrett on image ) and Mary May Barrett are married. both son in law and dau in law. Joseph is a Stone mason
