I think you should be looking for a Susan Cocoran who married a Watts (or it is Susan Watts who married a Cocoran)?

I'm not sure how the maiden names thing work on this site....

I think you will probably find that Susan is no longer a member of Genes, hasn't been on the site for a while or has changed her e-mail (so any notifications sent out won't reach her).

I had the same when answering a tryibg to find request, in the end i did contact the poster (a sister i didn't even know existed) but only after writing letters to several addresses that matched her name.

I have tried contacting Susan many times but have never had a reply.
May i should see if i can get the birth details and order the cert, it may well tell us something.

Basically it means trawling through the full marriage index in just the same way you would look for any marriage not in the partial (freebmd) index.

Any occurences of a marriage under his name should be recorded and see how they fit in with dates etc.

It isn't particularly difficult, just a bit time consuming.

I have found the Original Message - her name is given as Susan CORORAN, when you click on her name to send a message it comes up Susan WATTS.

I am trying to trace relatives of my late father Leonard John Hatcher born 4 10 1920 Brought up in Laindon in Essex,then wraysbury Berks .He had a big family ,brothers John,Jeff,Lesley,maybe more ,sisters Joyce, Betty (adopted)His fathers name was John, born around 189O .His father was married to a Indian lady in the 186O,s If any body has any information please contact me on this website

I still can't understand why her mothers maiden name is Hatcher!

In view of the names Cororan and Watts, maybe she was not registered as Hatcher?

Or maybe the heat is getting to my brain......

There is a Paul John Hatcher born 1970 Q3 Aylesbury Origninally the entry is 6a 1722 but this has been scored through and amended to 8141/S M76 the MMN is given as State.

if you get that birth cert for Susan to ascertain how she fits in to the family it may help, BUT you may not be able to because of the 50 year ruling unless you have ALL her details such as actual birth date/mothers name etc

No Susan is a daughter she has a message on the board from back in 2004 stating the he is her father she even has all his siblings names including their nick names one of them being my nan.

How do you know Leonard is her father?

Sounds like her mother was a Hatcher but not married (I mean that politely).

She is related as she put a message on one of the boards back in 2004 and had all the names of her father's siblings including my grandmother, i have tried contacting her many times but have never had a reply.

The only way is to buy her birth certificate. It is possible that she is completely unrelated to your family, is there any reason that you think she is?

The fact that her mothers maiden name is the same as her surname suggests that she was either born out of wedlock or that her mother was a Hatcher who married another Hatcher.

Susan does have the same father but the mother is not, i have spoke with one of the other siblings and they say that they do not have a sister by this name but are aware that their father had many women in his time.

He did marry an Emily and had a son Paul in about 1970.
And had girls Sandra and Carol and a few more with a woman called Margaret.

Is there anyway that i can find out who Susan's mother was/is.
And a marriage for Emily and even maybe Margaret.
