Cecile died in 1980
I think we are all getting a bit confused,Minnie thanks for sticking with us, we cant find a birth certificate for Cecile know her birthday was 26 August and from her death certificate it was 1908,the person we are really trying to find is her father Samuel Thompson named on her wedding certificate although he might not have been at the wedding.

look at that - her death reg tells us how old she was

we dont think that Annie Field was married. It is possible she could be Cecile and Madeleines mother but the dates dont tie in if she was witness on Harry Melvyns death cretificate. The witness at Cecile and Harry,s wedding Harold Nicholls could possibly have married a Rebecca Thompson.
Madeleine never married. We are struggling to find Samuel Webster who is named as Ceciles father on the wedding certificate.

Where have you got harrys Middle name from? Ancestry doesnt recognise the name Melivn at all.

I think people have given up because there is no info to actually use to find anyone! just a name is no good, we need ages and occupations, niether of which you can tell us.

If the writing is that poor on the cert, you need to apply for another copy
