Now if you really want a challenge I will give you one…. 
I have this family in All census except 1901.
I have had kind folk on these boards looking for them approx 6-12 months ago with no success.
I keep chipping away at them but as yet have not managed to find them, so any help will be greatly appriciated.

I am looking for the following family,

Charles Miles (twin to Henry/Harry) born 1873 Lambeth ( have both certs)
He marries
Sally Ellen Baxter born 1879 Goole Yorkshire.

They marry 1894 in Goole ( have cert)

They obviously return to London and have a daughter

Sally Ellen miles born 1896 St Olave, london ( comes under Bermondsey)( Have cert mistranscribed on Ancestory as Sulley )
She dies in 1949 ( have cert ) At death she was known as Sarah.
She is my grandmother.

Charles is a sailor on marriage 1894

( and appears on ship in Goole for 1991 census. He is orphaned after 1881 and sent to the orphan ships with his twin where he learns his trade. In1881 he is with mum Ann Emma Miles ( nee Chandler)and siblings. Dad Charles Knight Miles being in the work house where he dies 1882.( have cert))

Charles is a Night Porter at birth of daughter 1896
And on her wedding cert 1917 he is a Private ASC

I have looked through Ancestory war records for any sign of him without luck. I have looked for them together , apart under various names, done an address search and much more I just cannot find them . If that isnt enough I cannot find Harry and according to my father he did survive to adult hood.

HELP....
I will be super impressed if you can find them...So while you search high and low I will go off and watch telly........

actually ill be poping back on regular basis, cos im up to my ears in Washing and dinner making....

Hi Keith

I've been a member for 5 years and it's on auto renewal so has never lapsed, when I renewed in Feb 08 it was for 6 months and now my renewal August 08 takes me to August 09.

KeithInFujairah Report 3 Aug 2008 15:11

LFW, if your original sub was £9.95 for 12 months, the renewal will be for 12 months.
If it lapses, it will cost you £9.95 for 6 months to renew.

Hi Hyacinth

You are so right, I love the chase to find them before anyone else does ;-) And it always makes me chuckle when someone has been looking for years and within 5 mins 3 GR members all post the same correct info. I think you're all psychic ;-)

On another subject, it was mentioned earlier about the £9.95 for six months. I've just renewed my subscription and it's back to £9.95 for 12 months. Or was it just the first 6 mths at £9.95 and then 12 mths thereafter?

Regards
LfW

Hyacinth, you're so right.

I hardly come on the boards anymore. They're so boring. A couple of years ago there was camaraderie, banter & a feeling of doing battle against the transcribers together.

I just browse occasionally now.

Jim, is it possible that your Henry Abrahams anglicized his name from Solomon?
There's a Solomon Abrahams age 4 on the 51 census, born Cornwall. His parents are Alexander born Germany and Harriet born Poland. He's still Solomon on the 61 census where it says born Falmouth, Cornwall. Can't see him on the 71 census, (Because he changed his name to Henry?)
