It's certainly worth a try.

John's birth, 1878, they were living at 4 Gastigny Place, City Road, Holborn.

Henry's birth, 1883, they were living at 18 Custance Street, Hoxton New Town, Shoreditch.

I think the 1883 electoral roll will come under the registration district where you posted previously. Any idea's about the 1878?

Joanne.

Regarding City Road, Holborn. got this from googling

Holborn (pronounced /ˈhoʊbɚn/ or /ˈhoʊbɝːn/ "ho bun") is an area of Central London, England. Holborn is also the name of the area's principal east-west street, running from St Giles's High Street as High Holborn to Gray's Inn Road to Holborn Viaduct, crossing the borders of the City of Westminster, London Borough of Camden and the City of London.

I thought it might be Islington so looks like I was wrong.

There are about 32 London boroughs in London so you have only 3 to choose from.

Suggest you search the council websites for family archives
