I hav to say - I am thought perhaps a little 'prim' and I don't usually like that sort of thing but I laughed out loud at that one.!!

Good on'yer!

Lfw - I am a bit like Dea - can be a little 'prim & proper' but I think most ladies could identify with that one & think ' there by the grace of God.......' and my hubby would be surprise I laughed out loud too.

Julie do keep up the good work

Last night there was yet another case of someone asking for help & then being rude to the volunteers.

We give up our free time to help & yet all too often we get our hard work thrown in our faces.

It's so sad to see Julie leaving the TTF board due to the attitude of a small minority of folks.

Always look on the bright side of Life
De dum de dum de dum.

THE POSITIVE SIDE OF LIFE,
Living on Earth is expensive, but it does include a free trip around the sun every year.
How long a minute is, depends on what side of the bathroom door you're on.
Birthdays are good for you; the more you have; the longer you live.
Happiness comes through doors you didn't even know you left open.
Ever notice that the people who are late are often much jollier than the people who have to wait for them?
Most of us go to our grave with our music still inside of us.
If Wal-Mart is lowering prices every day, how come nothing is free yet?
You may be only one person in the world, but you may also be the world to one person.
Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once.
Don't cry because it's over; smile because it happened.
We could learn a lot from crayons: some are sharp, some are pretty, some are dull, some have weird names, and all are different colors....but they all exist very nicely in the same box.
A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery on a detour.
Have a wonderful day, and know that someone who thinks you're great , has thought about you today!..
'And that person was me.'.....

Please, Please Please come back, it's not the same without you :-(

i would also like to add my support, most of us use this board regularly and we see all the help and time that is given in helping others who aren't able, for whatever reason to find results themselves, (lets face it the questions are coming in non-stop) without people like yourself, who spend their own free time- and money- looking up information, an awfull lot of people would give up. i don't know what the problems were but i'm sure there are many more people out there who are gratefull for all of your help in the past, so don't give up on something that you obviously enjoy doing, some people are just born to moan, doesn't mean to say you have to bow down to them. virginia

Some people are idiots. Have they nothing better to do with their time than have arguments on here.
Keep up the good work of helping many people.
It's helpful people like you who do so much good for others who are stuck and getting frustrated.
BTW, What's nudge up their threads mean???
Jane.

Jane - 'nudging up the thread' just means typing something in the reply box so that the thread gets put to the top of the boards. Usual quick type is'n' or 'nudge'

know exactly how you feel Julie - I came in for an enormous amount of flak yesterday which was more than a little upsetting - but as has been said, that was just one person out of very many who really appreciate some help, so I'm hanging in here but it would only take another day like yesterday and I would have to have a rethink!!!

and I have almost reached the end of my tether and patience after reading some of the posts that appeared late last week and over the weekend

postings such as "don't boss us about", "don't order us around", "don't give us a hard time about our spelling" ..... all on tips threads.

I do love the hunting for ancestors, especially when it isn't easy to find, and may even need lateral thinking, and I enjoy that buzz" when I have success

.... but I really don't need the hassle!
