re 1891 census

Ann & Harriet Ellerbeck are at the same address but Fred, Charles and Mary are quite clearly written as Keeling

Sorry to he a bit slow here but are you saying on the census image for 1891 the Ellberbeck and the Keelings are in the same house. You posted just the Keelings for 1891 and Christine done the Ellerbecks - unless I am missing something I cant see the whole lot together on the 1891 image posted above.

Hi think I have it now the reference numbers are the same so must be the same house

Christine posted the entry from Ancestry which has them all together.

I posted the entry from FMP which has them separately.

I thnk they are different families staying at the same address as there is a line between them on image

sorry for the confusion

Is this the Keeling family after which the Cocos (Keeling) Islands in the Indian Ocean was named after?

Margot I can't answer the question you have raised - I would not have thought so as they were humble east end folk.
