Oh Margaret - What a special man Dr Arbuckle must have been. Thank you so very much for that wonderful information. The Thorne Workhouse is still there although it's been converted to flats now. With the plaque being in Church, we can only imagine that he was a frequent member of the congregation. I wonder what he looked like. |

You sound like a soulmate, Beryl! I, too, get sidetracked and go off on tangents. I spent more time researching a step-grandmother even though I wasn't related to her at all but her life was so fascinating. |
