No problem, love doing census look ups.
Lets hope that it's all the correct ones and the marriage cert will help us move on for the Turner family.

When you get the cert. could you post onto this thread all the info that's on it , ages, names including the names of the witnesses as they are sometimes family members.
Hope it doesn't take too long to arrive!!!!

Catherine and Christine,

I received my grandparents marriage cert today! It states that my grandfather's (Albert Turner) father was named George Turner and my grandmother's (Ethel Camm) father was named Solomon; which I already knew.

George was a miner and Solomon was a policeman. The witnesses were Arthur Turner who is believed to be my grandfather's brother and a woman named Lilian Ingram, who my mum seems to think is/was married to my grandmother's brother.

Having now got the certificate, I still don't know what my grandad's mother's name is!

How do I go about finding that now?

Nicola

I need to find the siblings of George Turner. He was born on 5th July 1898 at Massey's Square, Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent

His parents were Joseph Turner and Eliza Slack. They were born 2/10/1868 and 24/04/1868 respectively. They got married on 15/08/1887 and died 5/02/1947 and 5/10/1920 respectively.

Thanks

Nicola
