Sam Report 9 Jan 2009 12:24

Hi Nick

I am posting the census info for information purposes, I know his father isn't on it but it helps people when trying to search backwards.

To find his marriage cert you really need to know his wife's maiden name, Thomas Taylor and Elizabeth are both common names and without concrete evidence of her maiden name, you could get the wrong marriage cert.

To get this, you need to buy the birth certificate of one of their children. Here are the details for Rose Emma Taylor...

Surname First name(s) District Vol Page
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Births Jun 1867 (>99%)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Taylor Rose Emma Nottingham 7b 255

You can get birth certs (and marriage certs) from www.gro.gov.uk and they cost £7 each.
