You might find the marriage was in 1948 because they had to wait for Walter to die. Divorce was pretty expensive.

And, whats more important is that your Mother had 3 sisters and 2 brothers (although with both named walter the first one probably died)

SHE my grandmother WAS MARRIED BEFORE!! to a Walter BOND...well this is a journey of discovery...and yes I am definately intrigued in 1916 in Sunderland...well that begs the question of mum...will need to look into this further although very few of our keegan line left to try to find out...if they would even know

I just found a marriage record for their parents joseph keegan and lily reynoldson and they did not get married till may 1948!!!!! in Don Valley and her name was Bond/or Reynoldson!!

The date has puzzled me though- no doubts I must have entered them in to the tree the wrong way round and Michael must have been the youngest not catherine...sorry Lesley.

Your not going to believe this but Catherine isn't there either.

Were these the only two children, ? If so I think you might have to research the possibility that Catherine & Josephine were Adopted by their "Parents". Possibly they were never told or otherwise never said anything.

Did the two sisters look alike?
