Dont know if you can solve this one for me.my dad was amos balchin born 1901 reigate.his dad was amos ethrington born1861 reigate. his mum was jane balchin born1817 tenderden.Dont know why but the children took the name of balchin.her husband was john ethrington born about 1821.reigate. all my censers keep coming up with amos balchin born dorking born 1856 wife mary bullen .trying to find out if he is related .sorry the family is so mucked up.its doing my head in.

Hi charlie...thanks for the kind offer. Please could you do census lookups for a Michael Coyne born in Alnwick, Northumberland c. 1859. I have his marriage cert (1883) which states that he is 24 years old and that his father is Michael Coyne, deceased. he married Annie Kelly in 1883 in Alnwick. and her age was 23 and father John kelly. i hyave asked before for lookups regarding Annie before she was married and i think if I remember she was really hard to find. Wonder if you can help. thanks.

in 1881 there are 2 Jeremiah, 1 is a boarder in Wokingham the other is a servant in Everly born 1854 and 1855!!! Don't know whi I didn't think of it before but
I think you need to order the marriage certificate for Henrietta and Jerry, that will have his fathers christain name and solve your mystery!

Yes please. am trying to clarify a birth line on my Grandmothers side. She was ALICE GODDARD b. 1897, Wokingham. Her parents were JEREMIAH GODDARD b. 1855 Finchampstead and HENRIETTA OLIVER b. 1870, Cove, Hants. There appears to be some confusion over JEREMIAHS parents. Think it may be NICHOLAS GODDARD b. 1815 and MARY BOULTON b. 1822, but some information is coming back as it being Nicholas' brother JESSE b. 1823

I am trying to trace my grandad, we knew him as William Charles Pilfold, but apparently he was originally William Charles East. think he changed it by deed poll born 22.8.1909 died 17.7.1992. We thought he was registered at Dartford but have tried to locate the birth certificate which the records office cannot find, most of his family were from London. Hello Carol . Hope you can help I am trying to trace Ernest Sowden railway worker born circa 1895-99 in Bradford moved to Wakefield west yorks and married a minnie armstrong c 1920 Ihad been told that his father also worked on the Railways .So far i have found that there are two possibilities from the 1901 census called Alfred and john who lived in Bradford.From relatives i have been told that the name Norman tends to feature in the Sowden saga.
