Right Jean here's the 1911 :

JONES, MARY MARGARET -DAUGHTER -SINGLE -F -20 -MACHINEST -GLASGOW SCOTLAND RESIDENT
JONES, LUCY WINIFRED -DAUGHTER -SINGLE -F -18 -GLASGOW SCOTLAND RESIDENT
JONES, FRANCES ANNIE -DAUGHTER -SINGLE -F -16-CONFECTIONER -GLASGOW SCOTLAND RESIDENT
JONES, FLORENCE -DAUGHTER- SINGLE -F -14 -CONFECTIONER- GLASGOW SCOTLAND RESIDENT

JONES, GEORGE L -SON -SINGLE -M -7 -SCHOOL -GLASGOW SCOTLAND RESIDENT
JONES, DUNCAN J -SON -SINGLE -M -4-LAN LIVERPOOL

I searched for Conjellus for a marriage (as his name is so unusual and the only Conjellus in the 1911!) and death but I do wonder if they went back to Scotland.

Hope this information is useful.

Best wishes

Hello, thanks for your post,

A few questions for you :

Do you know your nan's surname before she married your grandad David?

Are they your mum's parents or your dad's?

Would either of your parent's be able to give you some more information about them?

Do you know where they are from or where they lived?

Do you know what children your grandparents had?

If you know some of the answers to these it may help narrow the search down and make them easier to find.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Regards

Donna.

****KARL****

Hi Karl,

I found this marriage:

Name: Charles Griffin
Year of Registration: 1919
Quarter of Registration: Oct-Nov-Dec
Spouse's Surname: Fido
District: Long Ashton
County: Somerset
Volume: 5c
Page: 1645

When I checked her name it is Beatrice Fido.

I looked for children and found the following :

Name: Charles H Griffin
Mother's Maiden Surname: Fido
Date of Registration: Jan Feb Mar 1921
Registration district: Long Ashton
Registration county: Somerset
Volume Number: 5e
Page Number: 930
----------------------------------------------------

Name: Ivor J Griffin
Mother's Maiden Surname: Fido
Date of Registration: Apr May Jun 1922
Registration district: Long Ashton
Registration county: Devon/Cornwall/Seilly. Dorset/Somerset
Volume Number: 5c
Page Number: 897

Could his middle name have been Jeff??
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Name: Thomas J Griffin
Mother's Maiden Surname: Fido
Date of Registration: Jul Aug Sep 1923
Registration district: Long Ashton
Registration county: Devon/Cornwall/Seilly. Dorset/Somerset
Volume Number: 5c
Page Number: 873

Or his??
--------------------------------------------------------------------

Name: Gwendoline V Griffin
Mother's Maiden Surname: Fido
Date of Registration: Oct Nov Dec 1924
Registration district: Long Ashton
Registration county: Devon/Cornwall/Seilly. Dorset/Somerset
Volume Number: 5c
Page Number: 772
-------------------------------------------------------------

Do you know what sort of year Charles Griffin was born and where at all as it may narrow things down?

There is the option of ordering the marriage certificate of Charles and Beatrice - it will state Charles's age, job and residence as well as his father's name - same with Beatrice.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Donna.

I think that's probably best as I have discarded a lot of records cos Grandma said she was 10 when Gt Grandad died but she was 15 it turned out!!

And Great Aunt Annie insisted that she was 21 when she was bridesmaid for 'this vital wedding that I had been searching for forever' . So I discarded all other possibilities for a long time, then eventually gave in and ordered a cert that matched everything but Aunt Annie's word and it was correct, Aunt Annie was wrong by 6 years!!

Relatives can be a wonderful source of information but sometimes if nothing else matches what they say - go with gut instinct!!

Let me know if it's the right certificate.

Good Luck.

Best Wishes

Donna

Hi Donna,
re my Faulkner's
Thank you so much,
yes this is defiantly her,i know all the children's married names
I see she has kept her first name as Bethany but has changed her birth place again!
Looks to me that it depended on who she had living with her at the time as to where she was born.
I think i will defiantly have to order that cert, perhaps my father in law is mistaken
many thanks again and your doing a great job (x)

I was wondering if you could help? I am looking for Theresa Kelly d.o.b 16.9.1938, she gave up my mum Rose and her sister Kathleen who are twins up in 1961. I have discovered that she had a older son called Michael Kelly who i think was born in 1960 who was living with Theresa's Aunt who was called Mrs. Dowdell which i believe were living at 14 Edinbourgh Ave, Doncaster at the time. Theresa's grand Mother called Mrs.Blake lived at 77 Moore Park Rd S.W 6 at this time as well. We believe there father is called Wilfred Martin but have no other record of him other then that he was a U.C.H Porter or a U.C.H Chef. They were born in Queen Marys Maternity Home, Health Rd N.W 3

Her family would love to get in contact with her

Can you help?
