There are no Elizabeth Kirkwood with parents Thomas and Mary Jane.
There was one Elizabeth Kirkwood born to Martha Kirkwood with no fathers details. I don't know if Mary Jane had a sister called Martha.

I'm beginning to wonder where Elizabeth came from and disappeared to,
Maybe as someone said, Elizabeth might have been born to a sister of Mary Jane and she brought her up as her own???

I took a look at the marriage for Henrietta in 1905....it was the right Henrietta but Elizabeth was not a witness so no luck there......if you want details of the marriage let me know.
Also no marriage for Elizabeth to a McMillan

No indication that Mary was married more than once from this certificate.

what is a "Poorhome" ?

I would suggest that as Thomas was in the Poorhome , probably the hospital section as he was ill, it would not be unusual the signing would have been done by their staff......not because the couple had split up

I have looked up 3 more marriages for Mary Jane on SP but none are a match so, she couldn't have remarried.

I checked out the death for Elizabeth in 1899 and it wasn't your Elizabeth......

Here is all deaths for Elizabeth Graham in Renfrew date of birth I did was 1875 with 2 yrs age difference so will have marriage names there also but mother name doesn't show up on deaths so you need to get ideas which one if she never had middle name you can ignore they ones

Remember always take at least 2 yrs extra years in case 1874/73 as I found some of mine that way
