Find Ancestors

Trying to sort out the family of Daniel Simmonds1848 who married Martha Norris1859 in Dec 1872. I have 4 Henry's born around 1874. Whichever is the correct one seems to have disappeared after the 1881 census! All the children seem to have a second christian name, except 2 of the Henry's I have found. I have also found 2 Ellen's and 2 Annie's. My grandmother is Catherine Margaret1890-1976 for which I have birth and marriage certificates and death details. The parents seems to have stayed in Bisham Viiage most of their lives. Frustratingly I cannot find much about Elizabeth (Harriet?)1882, as I remember her and a daughter Frances? well. Elizabeth was still alive in 1968. I can't find her marriage to trace Frances' marriage. Help please?

Thanks about Henry 'Jonesey'. There is the same registration for a Clara. I have checked 6 months on for her death, from their possible birth as twins. Can you advise on this please? As I mentioned I am trying to find the marriage of Elizabeth Simmonds, but I have 1902 Reading 2c 817, 1906 Maidenhead 2c 947, 1908 Reading 2c 935, 1912 Maidenhead 2c 943. So far I cannot determine which one is correct, regarding the cost of certificates. Elizabeth had at least two daugthers Frances and June.

Thanks 'Liverbird' I now have parts of more than one family of Simmonds from you and what I have found. I am trying to concentrate on the Daniel/Martha family (as mentioned at the start). I have birth lists for Daniel Simmonds OND1847 all1848 and all 1849 but cannot find him.
Most transcribed lists (1881) say he was born 1848 in Nettlebed Oxon, but the 1851 & 61 census' show Caversham, if I have the right family, the age is right. Elizabeth1882 is still a mystery so far.

Thanks to 'Brenda' (for pointing out more info) also many more to 'Moody Blue'. I was just going to add to many more hours of researching the Simmonds family, but this latest info has been an immense help.

Very glad to have info on Frances and Phyllis (we knew her as June) .
I now have to find their children.
We know that Frances married David Whitbourne and Son Freddie worked in the dairy in Bisham Village.

Annie Simmonds (Dec 1885?) info still remains elusive to me. She is 6yrs in the 1891 census, but my searching has not yet found her 'in service,' as is the the case generally. Have not found her possible early death either!

In this column 'Jonesey' mentions a Harry Simmonds in the Royal Berks Regt, but he was born in 1873!

To end for now, I have received the certificate for Elizabeth's first marriage confirming George Walter Silvey, and, as I have 7 Simmonds families from the different census', I have yet to trace one of the 'witnesses' named Alfred William Simmonds? I have yet to put together another Simmonds family in Cookham/Bisham! The one with Annie Blanche Simmonds! (Parents Fred G/Ellen Simmonds).

Thank you very much again Brenda, these 'Annie's' (and all the Simmonds in fact) seem (to me) to be a little confusing!
I am actually looking for the Annie1886 of Daneil1848/Martha1850.
All of their children: John1880, Elizabeth1882, Annie1886, Ellen1887, Catherine1890 and Victor1895 appear to be born in Bisham..
Except Henry1873, Hurley and William1875, Ruscombe.

I have Frederick G1860/Ellen1860 Simmonds with Arthur W1884, Annie B1886 and Rosa I1889 in the 1891 census living at 8 Long Acre Farm, Cookham. Would this be the same family (in your latest info) in 1901?

I'm not sure about Alfred William, he could have dropped his first name early on. As with some others!!
