Jacki,
When you have looked on the ships passenger lists, are you looking at the section right at the end under "Aliens"? This is because these people were not British subjects.
Please ignore this if you've already been there!!

pls forgive my long delay in treplying to your email.
i have been in and out of hospital .so now im back on board again...
mmmm i dont think i did look at aliens , but will do so when i finish work later..
they are prooving very hard to find.
can i search the kew archives online using my card issued by them? i have always found the kew archives very frustrating and difficult to get to grips with.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

please forgive me for not replyimg but i lost one of my elder brothers who ws cremated not so long ago. i have tried searching for aliens but didnt find anything an to be honest i thnk i was abit confused in my head..

Could this be his Naturalisation file at the National Archives, although 1921 is rather late, but not impossible (assuming he was still living in Liverpool in 1921)

thank you for this... i will have a look and see, but unfortunatly granpa died 1923 in scotland. i have his death cert.
before he died he was living at st josephs home for the poor in scotland. i emailed them to see if they may have more info on him but the sister said he was there i had the right man but they dont have anymore info on the inmates.
so who knows this could be a good start again.. will let youknow when i check it out.
