Yes Loopsie Mary Martin seems to have been her maiden name. We have posted her childrens births under her husbands name Powley and it seems that after Mary died Charles Powley married the sister Catherine in 1940.

I wonder if Catherine married Charles after Mary died??

All born Middlesbrough, Cleveland I think. John approx 1920, Charles Kevin approx 1925 , Michael John approx 1930 and Mary Catherine approx 1937. Hopefully the middle names should help. Now these are biologically Mary's children. However she died when Mary was very young and Catherine brought them all up (may have even adopted them).

Is this just coincidence?

Unfortunately not! I know her sister Catherine was married to a Charles Powley.

Trying to find info on a Mary Martin born Middlesbrough approx 1905 (maiden name unknown) and had children named John, Charles Kevin, Michael and Mary, she died approx 1938 I beleive. She also had a sister named Catherine.
