hi

If Ellen was still in Kent when she died how about this one

Dea,

No I just realised I never reordered the cert, but I have now !
I honestly thought I did !

Ann,

Many thanks for the other suggestion for a death cert.

I will order the previous one that I ordered wrong before and if it doesn't match I will then try the one registered in Bromley.

Thank you for your suggestions,

It really has baffled me why these two people have disappeared off the radar !

thanks guys for your help!

Well I will post this as I have found it but I REALLY don't think it is connected as Ellen's last couple of children would have the surname Perry???

You were looking for a ??Perry marriage for Ellen to match the death which was found with her birthdate:

Lancashire Marriage indexes for the years: 1925

DAVISON Ellen A PARRY William E Bolton, St George Bolton 61/10/94

Thanks Dea,

Yes Ellen's birth date was the 29th (!!!) Feb 1896.

How unusual is that?

Like you say - the last two children would have surely been registered under the name Parry.

Just the matching birth date jumped out at me!

Hmmm.....curiosity is killing me !

Hello All,

Where did that year go?!

Phew .... anyway, still baffled by this , but to answer the last post - we were awaiting a death cert for Ellen, well I received it ( the one that Ann found for 1949) and it states the following details:

Died 6th Nov 1949 at St Augustine's Hospital, Chartham.

Name- Ellen DAVIDSON otherwise Ellen Davison
of 15 Clarence Street, Dover. Formerly the wife of Henry Davidson
, cinema attendant.

Not sure if you need to know cause of death but colon cancer in so many words after postmortem without inquest.
It was registered by the chief resident officer of the hospital.

Well , to me that sounds like my Ellen! Her being the former wife of Henry Davidson gives it away I think!

I have contacted kent archives to see about possible hospital records.

Still cannot find nothing for Henry after 1919.

Baffled still.

Help much appreciated
:-)

Tree on Anc**try has Henry Davison in 1917 living at 9 Sedan Street, Pendelton.

In 1921 he is supposedly a Music Hall artist living at 439 City Road,Stretford.

There appears to be a living child of Henry Davison and an Eva Kelly.

Hi Ann,

Many thanks for that , I just wish there was a way of finding out if its the correct person without having to fork out the £9.25 !

:-(

I know he was born 1893 in Manchester, will that 2 yrs rule this out do you think?

Hi Squeaky

That is a difficult one. I wonder if the local council up there could help you. If he is burried in the cemetery there they usually have records. I found some of mine in Chesham cemetery by asking in the council office where they had records ob burials in the cemetery.

good luck

Hi

You said at the beginning that Henry was born may 1892 now you are saying he was born 1893. on birth records there are 2 Henry davison's one born 1891 and one born 1893 so yours seems to be in the middle.

The death i found could be the Henry davison born 1891 chorlton lancashire which is in the manchester area. confusing??

Hi there Ann,

Sorry for my error in birth date,

I have Henry's birth cert and I can confirm he was born 7 May 1893 at 13 Junction Street, Manchester.

Maybe I can contact Lancashire Council and see if they have any burial records?

Hi Squeaky

How about this one

Henry Davison born abt 1894 died 1st quarter jan feb march 1963 age 69 liverpool northLancashire 10d 281 this is before his birthday in may so if he had died after may and would have been 70 then 70 deducted from 1963 makes it 1893

Lancashire BMD liverpool has not been indexed yet just had a look can see this on line

What do you think, possible?

Hello Ann,

Many thanks for your latest post,

I do think this could be him!!

In fact I am that sure I am going to order this certificate now !

I did have a whisper from somewhere that he did head for Liverpool in the 1920's but this was just a rumour, hence why I never mentioned it ...but maybe it was true!!

Thanks so much Ann, I will let you know the outcome !
