Hi

Have you got a tree on Ancestry at all as there is one on there with your mother on it and her parents and brothers and sisters. I notice Margarets father came from Ireland. on Margarets parents there was a couple of odd people at the bottom of the list on which your mother was on one is Evelyn Rogers born 1921 west derby died 2006 and a Alice B Parsley b1925 w derby died 1961 do you have these two people on your tree.

Starr, forgive me as I have gone back to the begining. We're getting nowhere fast so it's the only option

You started by saying Margaret Ann Forsyth was born 1885 Liverpool. Later you realised you had gotton mixed up and said she was born 1883 Liverpool

I have searched for births of a Margaret 'Ann' Forsyth for both years in Liverpool and nothing is coming up. There are births around in Cumbria but none for Liverpool that have the name 'Ann'

Do you have a birth certificate for her?

Ann posted this death early on in the thread; Whats wrong with this as a possible/probable death?

England & Wales, Death Index: 1916-2005
about Margaret A Maher
Name: Margaret A Maher
Death Registration Month/Year: 1955
Age at death (estimated): 71
Registration district: Birkenhead
Inferred County: Cheshire
Volume: 10a
Page: 29

Buying the certificate may give you an indication of where she may be burried. After you receive the certificate you should contact the nearest local authority and ask them to search for a grave in the area of the death

Our LA charge £10 for a half hour search.

It seems Ann solved the death certificate problem earlier, I dont know why I overlooked it!

Hi

As I have said margaret A Maher died 1955 age 71 Birkenhead cheshire vol 10a page 29 oct nov dec

it would be a good idea now to see if you can contact someone in the council offices in Birkenhead to see if they can tell you whereshe is burried and your mother. If they cant helpl they will be able to tell you where to go for help

good luck in your findings

Tracey, I've got several of the portrait style. There's nothing that says Qualification, or indicates wot happens to the body.

I'm going to pm you.

EVEIE

EVEIE Report 20 Mar 2010 20:56

william francis maher b1937 is my cousin willie whos 72 years old his dad william francis married elizabeth may rogers and williams father thomas francis married my nan maragaret ann rogers nee forsyth
IM INTRESTED IN THOMAS FRANCIS MAHER NOT HIS SON OR GRANDSON

WayneTracey

WayneTracey Report 20 Mar 2010 20:56

Thomas's death will not show any relevance to whether his dad or his step mother were still alive unless they were named on the cert.

How do we know his father was still alive when he died in 1974?

It is his father you are interested in right?
