Oct - Dec quarter just mean that was when they registered her birth Loo.
It's very likely that they wouldn't register it until October.

GillianMac

GillianMac Report 26 May 2010 14:01

But Loo, if she was born in September she COULD be registered in the Quarter (3months) to 31st December -that is how the BMD is constructed -in Quarters not months and six weeks are allowed after birth in which to register

Loo.......... you're really going to have to bear with me on this one;

The marriage I found to Priestley with Maude A R Wallis..... well I think this is her sister;

London, England, Marriages and Banns, 1754-1921
about Ida Beatrice Maud Wallis
Name: Ida Beatrice Maud Wallis
Age: 18
Estimated birth year: abt 1901
Spouse Name: Robert Henry Cole
Spouse Age: 23
Record Type: Marriage
Event Date: 8 Jun 1919
Parish: St Mark, Kennington
County: Middlesex
Borough: Lambeth
Father Name: Edward Wallis >> Occupation; FISHMONGER
Spouse Father Name: Robert Henry Cole

Witnesses; MAUDE ALICE ROSE WALLIS!!!!!

You also mention the area Kennington.

Now there is No birth for the above marriage of Ida B M Wallis, BUT there is this;

Surname First name(s) District Vol Page

Births Dec 1902 (>99%)

Westlake Ida Beatrice M Wandsworth 1d 641

So this would tie the 2 names Wallis and westlake together???

Choccy

Choccy Report 26 May 2010 14:41

I have been looking at Army records for Albert Richard Priestley -

British Army WWI Service Records, 1914-1920
Name: Albert Richard Priestley
Estimated birth year: abt 1884
Age at Enlistment: 30
Document Year: 1914
Number of Images: 3

There are several different records for the same person, but on this particular one, there are two addresses mentioned -

41 Ravensdon Street, Kennington, and a letter saying he had now moved to

296 Kennington Road, S. Kennington, London S8

(could be a coincidence re the Kennington connection, but I am thinking it could be him)

We do believe there is a BIGGER family secret-the first being my fathers adoption! Although it's no secret anymore!! Don't know his real mother tho! But believes to be William's Brothers child! Lolol I said the secret could have been interbreeding!! Or marriage within the direct family! I've no idea and all uncles & aunts won't tell me or tell me they don't remember! I'm just tryin to did my Grandfather! But they won't listen! If any of you want to look at my tree just ask :o)

Thanks again!!
