Hi everyone. I hope you can help!

I am looking for Jas (James?) McGonagle and his wife unknown the parents of Mary Ann McGonagle.

Also Owen Callaghan and wife the father of James Callaghan.

Mary Ann and James married on 23/12/1899 in Strabane Northern Ireland. I have the certificate.

On the marriage certificate the witnesses were William and Martha McGonagle.

Both fathers were dead by the time they married.

Thank you all for any help given as it would make my husband very happy as both his parents died when he was young and he knows very little about his irish family.

Still looking for Owen Callaghan and wife. He was dead by the time james and Mary Ann married in Dec 1899. Owen was a ganger.

Thank you for the help I have had in the past. I have made some headway with the McGonagle side [I think :)) ]. Still checking out certs etc.

Thanks again for all the help I have recieved in the past.

Wendy.

Thank you FannyBy Gaslight. That looks like the right Matha and the rest of the family. I believe that a scutcher worked the flax for weaving.

Thank you for your time

You can try this site as well.

It is £10 for a month but you can use it as much as you like during that time for the money.

There is a James Mcgonagle on it on the 1851 census?

And this marriage that is well worth a look?

Thank you Maura.

My James and Mary married in 1899 and moved to Middleton-in Teesdale in 1903/4.

But this may be another side of the family.
Their first three children were born in Strabane. The eldest was Margret, then Catherine then Sarah, the rest were born in Middleton.

It was Owen I am looking for

But thank you for your time it is very good off you to look.

Thank you Wendy
