Good Afternoon/ evening Maura,

You have been busy. I have just logged on sorry to have missed you. Thank you again, I must be doing something wrong as I cannot find out what you have..

Can I print these pages? as it's difficult to dodge back and forth looking at the pages, and I have got writers cramp trying to keep up with the wealth off information you have supplied for me.

It looks like William followed Mary and James to England and they ended up in the same area.

Joan Report 20 Sep 2010 22:43

Hi Wendy,
I can confirm that there were cousins James and Mary Agnes McGonagle who lived in Mortimer St Blackhill. I do know that their Father was killed in a blast at the steel works in Consett many years ago. Contact was lost with this branch of the family until Mary Agnes approached sixty when she came to visit us but she was unable to speak or hear as the result of an accident when she was a child. She was helping her father clear the pavement of snow when the snow from the roof of the house in Mortimer St fell on her. The whereabouts of James was never known. Regards to you both Joan x

Hi Joan,
Thank you for that information, so sad. We will just have to look for her brother but as the ww1 was arround the corner it will be a hard slog.

How are you keeping? well I hope. We are both fine and looking forward to our holidays.

Regards and ((HUGS)) wendy and Ian
