Ancestry has that 1891 household as Harlow but all in all I think it is Harbour

Marriages Jun 1875
Bowen William Maidstone 2a 890
GOODAYLE Agnes Maidstone 2a 890 <<<<<
HARBOUR George Henry Maidstone 2a 890 <<<<<
JOHNSON Emily Maidstone 2a 890

there is no trace anywhere of a Florence Harborn so it seems both of them must have been born out of England

Nicola I'm not following you around, lol but have you checked back to the Goldsmiths ?

Vera...We are not sure where they married or on which date. I have surfed the marriage files and didnt find anything. Im afraid my step fathers family were very secretive, lol.

Thank you Vera but I have investigated this one and sadly it isn't him. There were hundreds of John/Jonathan Appleby's in the Newcastle area but we think he may have been born around the Hertfordshire area.

Nickif65 Report 31 Jan 2011 19:23

My step fathers grandfather is causing us all a headache. His name was Jonathan Kid Appleby born c1880. He married a lady called Florence Harborn. The spent some time in Alexandria Egypt and believe that Jonathan is buried there. They had 3 children, Florence 1906 who was born in Egypt, Henry 1910 and Gordon 1911 who were born in Harpenden, Herts.
Any info on Jonathans or Florences lives would be greatly appreciated.
