If this is your Nan's birth, then it looks like your mother's grandfather was Frederick Waters .
Charles Sheasby would have been your Nan's stepfather, not father.

Looks like her marriage to Charles Sheasby was her 2nd wedding not first.

This looks like a previous marriage ( presumably to your Nan's father)

Dea you are very spot on that was my nans mothers first marriage then she went on to marry Frederick Waters ( i Think)

I cannot get any info out of my nan now as she is has dementia very badly, it was only last week my uncle keith took her to llangatock to see her families graves of the sheasby family and she does not know or remember and didnt know were she was, and it was were she grew up, such a shame really.

speaking with my mother, she does not see why i do this this, to me its a hobby and i have an interest of my past background, just being nosy really. To my mum its prying into the unknown and not wanting to know that upsets her if she finds something she wishes not to, which i can understand. To me it doesnt bother me either way. im very open minded and just have an interest. To be honest i hated history when i was younger, now i want to know all, lol. The not know is not know who my dad is , and that hurts, but one way i will find out who he was ....my search continues xxxx

Just wondered Tracey - there may be many family reasons why you are not in touch with your nan and I don't want to pry, BUT - as you seem to have an interest in the history of your family, why is it that you do not get in touch with your very elderly nan??

I can't find a death for her either so it seems she may very well be alive at such a grand age and could probably tell you SOooo much !!

but to sum it up you have all hit the nali on the head for me and confirmed some of what i have just been speaking with my mum about, i knew my aunty carol had a different father as someyears ago she had inheritance from him, but was never sure that my nan married or not or had a partner before my grandfather of harold gibson.

can you also clarify that susan gibson was born to lilian and harold in 1951 please, you all find out so much more info then me, and im platinum on here ,,,,,just how do you all do it so.....................


the only thing that complicates it that mt nanas (lilian) mother also married twice, her first was to charles sheasby.........or should i go onto another thread for that one .....................

Kinda complicated lives!

Having difficulty finding a birth for the Harold born 1923 -none coming up with middle name Kenneth or initial K born Jun Q 1923

Just a 'possibility' ?? - I had a couple who married twice because the first marriage was bigamous.

When the husband (or wife - I can't remember) died and they were actually free to marry, they married again for a second time - this time, legally.

Maybe that is the case here?
