i have tried usinf the other sites, but somehow i dont find as much stuff as you guys on here, you are all so fabulous, im so glad now and my mum is to find that my nan and gramps were married ....and for love n life of me i just cannot find it . Well done on yr findings..........

Just wondered Tracey - there may be many family reasons why you are not in touch with your nan and I don't want to pry, BUT - as you seem to have an interest in the history of your family, why is it that you do not get in touch with your very elderly nan??

I can't find a death for her either so it seems she may very well be alive at such a grand age and could probably tell you SOooo much !!

Dea you are very spot on that was my nans mothers first marriage then she went on to marry Frederick Waters ( i Think)

I cannot get any info out of my nan now as she is has dementia very badly, it was only last week my uncle keith took her to llangatock to see her families graves of the sheasby family and she does not know or remember and didnt know were she was, and it was were she grew up, such a shame really.

speaking with my mother, she does not see why i do this this, to me its a hobby and i have an interest of my past background, just being nosy really. To my mum its prying into the unknown and not wanting to know that upsets her if she finds something she wishes not to, which i can understand. To me it doesnt bother me either way. im very open minded and just have an interest. To be honest i hated history when i was younger, now i want to know all, lol. The not know is not know who my dad is , and that hurts, but one way i will find out who he was ....my search continues xxxx

Looks like her marriage to Charles Sheasby was her 2nd wedding not first.

This looks like a previous marriage ( presumably to your Nan's father)

If this is your Nan's birth, then it looks like your mother's grandfather was Frederick Waters .
Charles Sheasby would have been your Nan's stepfather, not father.

yes Mike that is correct but my mother didnt really know frederick waters it was always pop sheasby that she remembered .......................think its more so to do with the fact she has photos of charles sheasby..........not sure
