Im very confused with 1901 census..

George Jay is married to Mary A Jay.

The relationship to the head with Richard and Emma Jay are in-laws.

So im taking it that George Jay isnt there son?
but isnt that s bit of a coincidence that both of there surnames are the same? and that is the same name as his son?

It looks as though the 1891 census found previously is not right if her father was Richard?

In 1891 census Ellen is not with Richard which would fit in with the hospital entry.

sorry glitter baby. yes it helped a lot!!! Ive found another chilld (my grandads brother) and that ellen was married to a john.. just now on the search for his birth certifcate! :)

And would anyone know the reason why i cant find John Morris Morralley's (the father) birth certificate?? i found his marriage and death but no joy on the birth??

I've found an census from 1891 for Ellen Lousia Jay.

She was in a childrens hospital in bristol when she was 10.
