Potty Report 9 Oct 2011 16:39

So am I Maureen! My husband has just put a lamb joint in the oven and the smell is heavenly!

Clive,

Please get one of those birth certs and come back and tell us if we have found the right marriage.

If it is the correct family, I wonder why Thomas changed his name when he moved to London?

Just looked at Bufflers Holt on Google maps and there is a pub there called the Robin Hood - I used to live a few miles away on the same road and the Robin Hood was one of the pubs we used to go to for lunch. Small world!

MarieCeleste

MarieCeleste Report 9 Oct 2011 15:55

Maureen - that's obviously the same Thomas as in the 1911 I posted above - why on earth is he changing his birthplace?

Buffler's Holt (per 1911) is about 6 miles from Silverstone.

Clive, where did you get the info about the daugter, Mary Ann b 1859? She isn't on any of the censuses posted for the Forsdicks? and her birth seems to have been registered as VArney:

Births Sep 1859 (>99%)
Varney Mary Ann Towcester 3b 16

I wonder why we cannot find Thomas before 1871? Forsdick does not seem to be a Buckinghamshire name. None at all in Bucks in 1841
