I think you are right about the certs. I've a birthday coming up and I can ask for them as presents !!! I would recommend that you get a couple of marriage certs to be able to establish the correct parentage.

If i were you i'd buy, Thomas & Elizabeth's, William & Catherine's marriage certificates.

That way you can be sure of parentage and that you have the right people on the census's.

It's always important to back up what is found for you here with hard facts (certs)

You will need Catherine's Mrg cert to be able to be sure of her father's name and occupation as she was born a Jone's :-(

The 1881, i would say in my opinion that this is the same family.
