Why would a woman named White marry as Rogers?

Unless she had been married before

You need to sort out her birth info first.........we could all be looking at the wrong person

Please don't guess........it's totally the wrong way to do research

How did you come across this woman?

Where does she fit in your tree?

Flick

Flick Report 16 Feb 2012 12:22

Also.....do the maths

You asked about an 1894 marriage..........that would hardly fit with an 1882 birth!

She's My Great-great gran. All we know is that she died in pontypridd and lied alot about her past, so it's really hard for me to find, I'm 15 so i never had a chance to meet her, I was just told about her names. Of offord, white possible rogers, and the second time she got married her name was williams. My grat-aunty told me her maiden name was white.

If I remember rightly Alice Mary is named as the mother on this birth certificate,
Late White = previous marriage
Formerly Offord = maiden name

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Births Jun 1913
Thursby Zoe E E -Offord - Cardiff 11a 804

Father James Elgood Thursby then marries widow Alice Williams in 1927 who gives her father as Rogers.

It's assumed it's the same Alice Offord but the ages are different.

Those are the 2 people i am trying to decide between!! She Had a baby in 1913 to a man she'd possibly having an affair with, then she married him years later in 1927 She said she was a widow and 51 years old at the time, but my aunty said that she had been born in 1882. So i don't know which one it is... This is why i asked for help. as you can see.
