Abergavenny is where my father etc was from (Llanfoist to be prescise)

Ah Llanfoist. I remember when the canal subsided and flooded the place! Abergavenny is a lovely little town and the food festival that they have there annually is well worth a visit :-)

Always enjoyed going to visit grandparents in Abergavenny (Park Ave - once Deri Rd) opposite the park. Everyone moved out or dead now though.

various ancestors came from Aber itself, Llanfoist, Cwmyoy, Govilon, Trevethin, Bwlch

Ancestrally...only connection is that one of my great (should that be grand) uncles died in a mental home in Abergavenny. And yes sorry Theresa....
