At the risk of sounding like a broken record....I STILL don't think that's the correct birth cert!!!! (sorry!!!)

If we're going to fit Thomas Chambers in as the father-his WW1 Service records are on Ancestry. Pretty hard to read but:
British Army WWI Service Records, 1914-1920 about Thomas Chambers
Name: Thomas Chambers
Estimated Birth Year: abt 1879
Age at enlistment: 36
Residence: 8 Peel St, Stoke-on-Trent
Document Year: 1915
Regimental Number: 29129
Regiment Name: Nth Staffs Regiment
Number of images: 7

Says he married Ann Colclough (spinster) May 2 1915. Two children-Ann Jane born Aug. 1905 and Edith May or Mary born 14 Aug. 1912. Both were born at 17 Thomas St. (address given on the 1911 census.) It looks as though there may be other children listed but the image is too bad.

Now doesn't that seem like the correct one?? Not the daughter of George and Ruth?????

:-S :-S :-S

hiya everybody thanxs for all the help yesterday and the information it really does help.

I had my nan birth cert off my late father as he had it. So l decided to get her wedding as well.

l know george is the father of all 3 kids . But just to make sure that the reg office did not make a mistake l will order Ellen and Albert Birth but there are many gen member who have the Colclough and everything maches up perfect.

My theory is that he could have been posted to canada during the WW1 or after the war he decided to move work whatever.

but thaks again to everybody l really do like all the help that you do give to me x :-D

As I said,I don't think you have the correct birth certificate. This one matches up better.

I'd guess the daughter Ann who goes on to marry Thomas Chambers was her mother.

Here is Ruths death so i still stand by what i said earlier

Deaths Sep 1929 (>99%)
Colclough Ruth E 64 Stoke T 6b 237

Or George went off & Ruth hooked up with Thomas & he raised the children so Annie said her was her Dad
