Hi Jax, those and the other marriage to edith in 1934 pretty much clinch it I think? I know there was a family breakdown, but thought it was after the move to aus, but he obviously changed his name prior to that. It was after he went in the army in 1945. If that is him it is possable he changed his name it went on a lot before WW1 maybe the same happened before WW2

Ok, 1 david abraham married 1 edith jacobstadt in 1934, and had a daughter Barbara in 1936. Looks like harold changed his name from abraham to graham??

Oh dear :( my friend has found her fathers birth cert. NO parents details given, however she also has his marriage cert and his mothers name is given as Martha Abraham. Abrahm/graham? A quick check on freebmd gives a marraige of david Abraham and martha warshawsky in 1925, and the birth of Harold Abraham, mother warshawsky, in Mar 1927. Could this simply be a transcribers error, and being too hard to fix has just been ignored? Heeellllpppp!!! Regards Linda

Some more info. We've had the Beechbank address confirmed by a photo of Barbara, standing outside the house in Beechbank Rd. Another photo of Fusehill military hospital, 1945. royal army pay corp, Reading, June - Oct 1947, and Ranikher army camp, Nov - Dec 1947. Barbara apparently married Ron, (no surname). Cheers Linda

PS forgot to say that apparently can't order harold and frances marriage cert from Qld, until 75 years have passed? Have checked NLA trove, but nothing showing. As they were new to Aus, probably didn't feel the need.

David Graham 1899-1957, WW1 Infantry battalion,. Harold graham 1926-2011, WW2 The Border Regiment, RA Pay Corps, serial no 14913094, 1945 - 1948. These details were sent to me by email, so don't know if she has the original documents, and if not where the dates for David came from. There are several options for David (on ancestry), but don't know where to look for Harolds military history? I only know how to check CWGC? Any idea's? Regards Linda :)

Hi ann, have only just been given the details re the marriage, so not ordered the cert as yet. The only martha death that I can find that may seem to fit is the one as discussed in previous posts. But until I get Harolds birth cert, it's all guesswork!!! And it may turn out to be the wrong one!!! Thanks for your interest, Linda :)

Did Martha die in England as I can't find what seems to be any appropriate death up to 1934 apart from 1923

Oh this is like drawing teeth! Harold Graham and Frances Austin apparently married in Qld c 1952/3. I have copies of both of their death certs, and they of course show nothing, besides what my friend believes to be true. Waiting, waiting, waiting!! Regards Linda
