Thank you all for all the useful information. You have hit on the right family. My grandmother was Lottie Child. My mother wrote down my grandmother's recollections and owned a photo of Winnie's family but neither my mother or grandmother could remember her married name. The photo is the source of the children's names. I don't have it but my sister is checking to see if she has it. I think you have the right Winnie who sailed on the Lake Manitoba to Quebec. I am really happy to have a possible name for her husband. Now I can check for her marriage records. Thanks again.

Glad we seem to have hit on the right family.
It would have been oh so much simpler if you'd given us your grandmother's name ( not many Lottie Child's about !)
