	And thanks to this advice my surname is now InWales! Not that it was so unusual

	Researching: Matthew and Jane Elwood who had my great great grandfather Francis Edward Elwood baptised in 1807 at Horsham Sussex. There is no sign of Matthew or Jane from this date and my great great grandfather was brought up as Francis Edward Elwood MITCHELL

	Just a thought, but could have Elizabeth been born Elizabeth Martin married the get widowed and then marry James. I mean could the marriage to James be under one surname while her former surname on Franks birth certificate could be her maiden name or vice versa.
