Find Ancestors

I have had a look at the parish burials for several of the nearby parishes and have not seen any Hedges deaths. There are relatively few church burials around then so burial was probably in a municipal cemetery.

I did find the following Perry burials:

Mary Ann Perry age 87 of 10 Tidy's Lane, Epping at Coopersale on 15 Dec 1927.

George Perry of Harlow age 89 at St Mary & St Hugh Harlow Dec 1921.

Hannah Perry age 65 at Stanford Rivers on April 21 1922.

As you have ancestors from Essex it will be worth familiarising yourself with the SEAX site http://seax.essexcc.gov.uk/Default.aspx

When you are sufficiently familiar with the site you can take out a 24 hour subscription to the site (£5). This will allow you to browse the images of CofE baptisms, marriages and burials in most Essex parishes.

You can download relevant images to your PC. In the case of post 1837 marriages it is the same information that you get on GRO certificates and usually has the image of the actual signatures of the participants (if they could write).

Thank you all so much, I am now well on the way to finding my family. I am new to this and did not really know where to start. Any hints always welcome. :-)

DIAMOND WEDDING
Mr and Mrs. George Perry, of Theydon Mount, Epping have just celebrated their diamond wedding They were married in 1877 at Great Braxted Church. Mr Perrv is 83, and his wife nearly 80. They have nine children living, three sons and six daughters. During the past 30 years Mr. Perry has been employed on the Hill Hall Estate.
Their Majesties the King and Queen sent a gracious message of congratulations and good wishes.
