I've searched using this site, Find My Past and Family Search, but there are no records. Does anyone know about this person? I'm interested because I thought my grandfather was the first Hurdley to settle in the Manchester area, but he was only two at the time this man died, and Elias doesn't appear anywhere in my tree.

	I'm puzzled by this 1871 census from Ancestry ............... 	seems to be quite a lot of Hurdley's in the Manchester area eg the following baptisms Elizabeth Hurdley 15 May 1853 Manchester, St Matthew James Hurdley, Elizabeth Hurdley Sarah Jane Hurdley 15 May 1853 Manchester, St Matthew James Hurdley, Elizabeth Hurdley and not too far away ......... 	Andy ....... it is definitely Elias on the 1871 Census ........... so do we have James changing his name?? OOOPs ......no I've got myself all confused!!! I've just double-checked, and it is James on the image and transcript

	Elias Eardley is on two family trees on ancestry one has him marrying Jane Ann Holker in 1877 and dying in 1878 The other has him marrying Sarah Salina Atkins on 23 December 1933 in Derbyshire and dying in Blackpool on 18 Oct 1954 :-D :-D
