Hi Angela

Thank you for getting back to us.

If you read through the whole of this thread, you will see that the information you gave in your opening post, regarding the George Trotter born 1895 was incorrect.

Yes Angela it can be confusing when you don't give correct information. Could you just explain why, in your original post you stated that George had siblings:-

" George was one of 11 children, Mary, Alice, Lillian, Kate, Sarah, Joseph, Edgar, Thomas, Margaret and Selby."

You must have had some reason for thinking this?

Hello

I have a copy of the 1911 census which states that George senior was 46 and George junior as 16, date of birth 1895.

Yes Angela, but.........that is not the George who married Elizabeth Swinhoe.

Hi Angela,

Are you looking for the George from the 1911 census, who was born in 1895 in North Shields
or
the George who married Elizabeth Swinhoe and went on to have the three children.

As you can see from the information found we are looking at two different people here so what is important now is to know which George is yours?

The father of the three children would seem to be George Alexander, as shown on marriage record, so if you are a descendant of one of the children born to this marriage, then the 1911 census with the list of siblings that you have given, is not the correct George and you need to refer to the 1911 census posted by PricklyHolly on previous page.

So, what we need to know is which George is the correct one?

George Trotter Snr DOB 1865 married Margaret Adamson and they had 11 children, one of which was George Jnr DOB 1895. George Jnr married Elizabeth Swinhoe and they had 3 children Davinia, Ann and David.
Davinia (Vena) had a daughter Mavis but she died without having any children. David married but had no children either. Ann (Nancy) married Luis Iglesias, who later changed his name to Churchill, and they had 3 children, Louis, Yvonne and David. My Father-in-Law Louis is interested in finding out if he still has family in this area as he had no idea that his Grandfather came from such a big family.
Hope this helps
