In 1913 her Parent/ Guardian on the school admissions was listed as Mrs Mortlock, 5 Cobden Street.

The Miriam Cant on the 1939 found by Rootgather is likely correct. Her birth date is given as 2 Aug 1902 (it did state 1901, but that was changed- the change has an area code TKA which is Lincolnshire, Lindsey, Grimsby).

On the original 1939 above Miriam's name it has MGR (I think). There is no area code for MGR so unsure of its meaning. Below Miriam there are 3 closed records.

There are a couple in Lincolnshire but I no longer subscribe to Ancestry so I am unable to see the DOB for them. I was just wondering if her death was registered in a different surname. Thank you.

On the 1939 register for Miriam a note written in red says "see page 22" but I have no idea how to find that page.

Not sure why we can't (pun not intended) find another marriage or a death for Miriam.

Perhaps someone with Ancestry could checkout deaths for a Miiam with the DOB on the 1939 register.

on Freebmd it shows two births in Glanford Borough and Scunthorpe in 1937 and 1939 under the name of Cant with mother's maiden name of Castles. Which would tie in with the information from rootgatherer
