I have considered James Frederick Tombs utnhe was born in 1870/71 so that would have made him 40 when he got married to Elizabeth.

The 1939 Register gives the dates that Linda and Dorothy married.

Linda married.......27/04/1942
Dorothy married...05/02/1942

I am trying to find any information about a man called James Frank Tombs. He married an Elizabeth Cocks in 1911 but apparently her surname was spelt wrong and it's actually 'cox'. He was 35 when they married and she was 30 according to the marriage certificate. I think the certificate says his father is Thomas Tombs and her mother Nancy. I cannot find a man by that name having been born. I just can't work him out. Please help!
