Andrea,

My Third Great Grandfather Charles Connell married Frances Sophia Nesbitt in 1852 in Launceston, Tasmania, Australia.
Frances had previously married a convict - John CLAY three years prior to the marriage to my Grt, Grt, Grt Grandfather.
Frances Sophia B: 1821 in London
Father: George Nesbitt (Mariner)
Mother: Kath Robinson

I have been trying to trace back the Nesbitt line.
Can you help?

I am trying to trace my paternal grandmothers family tree...she was Margery Nesbit[t] b 1878 to parents William and Mary. He was born 1852 in Northumberland. Can you help me at all with any info?

If Anyone is interested, I have access to a copy of a book called 'Nesbitt of that Ilk' which details many many nesbitt/nisbett families. It was writen in the 1940's (before 1948).
