Hi Patricia

I saw your message on the board and I am reasonably confident that your great grandfather Frederick Broomhead (born 1844) was the younger brother of my great great grandfather Granville Broomhead (born circa 1841).

they had at least another 6 siblings. Their parents were Thomas Broomhead (born 1817) and Sarah Chalresworth (born 1816).

I can also trace back a further three generations from Thomas.

I would be interested to know anything else you might be able to tell me about the Broomheads.

I am trying to trace my great grandfather, Frederick Broomhead born around 1840. He was married to Annie Eliza Saxton, and was a sergeant in the Royal Artillary in Gwailor, India during the 1870's. His son William John Broomhead was my grandfather and he lived in Nottingham.
