Hi Brian

I have only just noticed this thread and I must admit it is a long shot. I am looking for a Daisy, possible surname Alexander. My mother remembers her staying with her family in Inverness during 1930's /40's My mum said she only knew that Daisy was a "cousin". My mum's dad Thomas Alexander served in India, and was married there. His brother James Alexander also served, but I am not sure if he was in India. Do you think the Daisys could be the same?

Kind regards

Alison

My grandmother was Daisy Beatrice Bickmore. My mother is Daisy Violet Bickmore (born 27/4/1918) was adopted soon after she was born in Lucknow, India by John Alexander James and his wife Flora (nee: Wier). I am trying to trace any record of my grandmother Daisy Beatrice Bickmore who may of been born either in India or in England. I know my mother had two brothers one was called Sydney.
